Hair Stylist: Melece

I’ve been coming to Melece since about 2007. I’ve only ever trusted about 3 people to cut my hair in the 16 years I’ve been in NYC. After not seeing her for a year due to quarantine, I sat in the chair and as always. PERFECTION! As a barber myself she’s been a mentor over the years as well!

Melece styles my hair perfectly every time. She knows exactly what works and is always happy discuss all options. She is professional and talented, really knows her craft.

Melece has been my stylist for five years — she does beautiful, consistent cuts as well as fabulous up-dos for major events like the TONY Awards. She has incredible taste and always knows what will look great. She’s classic but also up-to-the-minute. Both my daughters (ages 20 and 21) and my fiancé now get their hair cut by her too. And did I mention she is super nice? I refer everyone I know to her.

I’ve been a client of Salon Ziba for about 28 years and for at least the past 20 years I have been a very happy, loyal client of Melece. She’s is a wonderful person and a consistently terrific stylist for both women and men.

My wife and I were married 13 years ago and, after Melece did an amazing job styling my wife’s hair for our wedding, not surprisingly my wife also became her client. To state the obvious, Melece has my highest recommendation.

Melece’s attention to detail and experience make her an excellent stylist. Her haircuts maintain their style a long time and I really appreciate that.
