How to Prep Hair for a ’90s Blowout in 4 Easy Steps
Step 1)
Before picking up any hot tools, it’s paramount to set the proper foundation for your blowout. “I recommend washing the hair with a Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner.
Step 2)
Once your hair is freshly washed and damp, we recommend treating strands with a styling prep product catered to your hair type. “For fine hair, prep the hair with a Volumizing mousse throughout, and for medium to thicker hair, apply a volume spray at the roots.
Step 3)
Once your hair is properly prepped, it’s time to start your styling session. Blow dry with a round brush, section by section starting at the nape. Use Velcro rollers to set each section. When you are all done, let the hair cool. Keep the rollers on until you are ready to step out.
Step 4 )
Once each section is cool, release the rollers and rake the hair with your fingertips to set it in place. Finish with hairspray: spritz some dry texturizing hairspray or a strong hold hairspray all over to ensure your blowout holds up.
